COLDESINA GAZOSA BITTER ORANGE
“Gazosa” – the word actually means “gassy” and stands for lemonade in Italian. The famous “Gazosa Ticinese” – lemonade in the old swing-top bottle – is still produced in family businesses. This makes Gazosa unique on the sweet drinks market. The charming little bottles with the metal swing top are as much a part of Italian Switzerland as the grotti.
Intense flavor and robust aroma: The bitter orange is valued for its typically sour and bitter taste. In combination with the sparkling soda, it is an excellent and delicious accompaniment to meals, snacks or aperitifs.
THE BITTER ORANGE
The bitter orange (Citrus × Aurantium L.), also known as melangolo, is an old hybrid that probably originates from the crossing of the grapefruit with the mandarin. The bitter orange differs from the sweet orange by the darker color of the leaves and the more intense fragrance, but also and above all by the characteristic bitter taste of the pulp.
